I can't wait for the cooler temps. I miss the autumns of my youth.<br /><br /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i199/zombiepop/sqrl2.jpg" /><br />It's the end of the year, yet a time for new beginnings. New schools, new jobs, new challenges. Perhaps time for a new point of view.<br /><br /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i199/zombiepop/sqrl.jpg" /><br />All of Earth's creatures prepare for the coming winter. A time of patience and peace. A time for solitude and struggle.<br /><br /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i199/zombiepop/sqrl3.jpg" /><br />Soon this stream will be iced over, the leaves fallen &amp; washed away. Only to thaw and bloom again.<br /><br />These pix were taken on a hiking trip a few years back. In the coming days &amp; weeks I hope to release some of my own amateur nature photography into the public domain. I would be uploading those photos to Wikipedia or Flickr with the intention of letting them be used freely; in the hopes that they may help to increase awareness of our precious natural surroundings. I'll let you know when I make them available. I'll also be making some desktop wallpapers available here for your computer.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2839669293377698649-170502141246361399?l=zombiepop.blogspot.com'/></div>Zombie Hunterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02384519519344156947noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2839669293377698649.post-54258841054116273352008-09-21T17:00:00.000-07:002008-09-21T17:21:55.106-07:00From Circuit City to Tent City<span style="font-style: italic;">Homeless encampments dubbed "tent cities" are springing up across the US, partly in response to soaring numbers of home repossessions, the credit crunch and rising unemployment, according to a report.</span> <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/2991742/Tent-cities-of-homeless-on-the-rise-across-the-US.html">ARTICLE</a><br /><br /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i199/zombiepop/tentcity.jpg" /><br />Photo Credit: AP<br /><br />I wonder if this is the beginning of a new trend...<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2839669293377698649-5425884105411627335?l=zombiepop.blogspot.com'/></div>Zombie Hunterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02384519519344156947noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2839669293377698649.post-81733147153486930912008-09-21T16:48:00.000-07:002008-09-21T16:50:00.948-07:00Sighting<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i199/zombiepop/ptt.jpg" /><br /><br />My cousin spotted someone wearing one of my shirts at a party. The Beginning. My boss turned me on to this film called <a style="font-style: italic;" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_a_Way_to_Go:_Life_at_the_End_of_Empire">What a Way to Go: Life at the End of Empire</a>. It's one of those films that shakes you to your very core. Here's a short clip.<br /><br /><a style="left: 0px ! important; top: 0px ! important;" title="Click here to block this object with Adblock Plus" class="abp-objtab-00033930757647783194 visible ontop" href="http://www.youtube.com/v/k8X8_wUoiq0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1"></a><a style="left: 0px ! important; top: 0px ! important;" title="Click here to block this object with Adblock Plus" class="abp-objtab-00033930757647783194 visible ontop" href="http://www.youtube.com/v/k8X8_wUoiq0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1"></a><a style="left: 0px ! important; top: 0px ! important;" title="Click here to block this object with Adblock Plus" class="abp-objtab-00033930757647783194 visible ontop" href="http://www.youtube.com/v/k8X8_wUoiq0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1"></a><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/k8X8_wUoiq0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/k8X8_wUoiq0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2839669293377698649-7268742703181915811?l=zombiepop.blogspot.com'/></div>Zombie Hunterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02384519519344156947noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2839669293377698649.post-18501407977560966932008-09-21T14:11:00.000-07:002008-09-21T14:53:35.421-07:00On the Road AgainWelcome to the new ZombiePop, home of the original ZombiePop &amp; Lo-Fi t-shirts produced and distributed through Northern Sun Merchandising. I plan to use this space to post original artwork, photographs, and a few thoughts &amp; interesting news items.<br /><br /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i199/zombiepop/rrd.jpg" /><br /><br />As I type these words we find ourselves in a world seemingly spinning out of control. Just 15 years ago it appeared we were entering the Age of Aquarius. Peace and love and high tech prosperity were on the horizon. The art, music, philosophy, &amp; fashion of the 1960s were experiencing a resurrection and we we sure, this time, we could change the world. But something changed. Did Y2K herald a new era of doom and gloom? The tie-dye t-shirts are gone. The hemp necklaces a thing of the past. The dream of a new age disrupted by the same old nightmare of corruption and control. As I type these words we find ourselves at a crossroads. Will we take the path less traveled or the road paved with our discarded hopes?<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2839669293377698649-1850140797756096693?l=zombiepop.blogspot.com'/></div>Zombie Hunterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02384519519344156947noreply@blogger.com0
